Not Be True

Not often am I lost for words,
But not a single one I write,
Is able to translate, or even describe,
The devastation to come from that night.

No matter how many times I've tried,
There's absolutely nothing that I can do,
To make me be able to understand,
Why this had to happen to you.

I loved you then, I always will,
Now my hearts scarred from this pain,
Wishing there was some kind of way,
That I could bring you home again.

There's not a single day to pass,
Where I don't think or remember you,
If only one morning I could wake,
And this nightmare to not be true.
