Not as easy as it appears

She turned her back, walked out of the door
froze my poetic drive, can write no more.
thoughts circle and circle, vultures on kill,
dense clouds of darkness, dead wisdom, no skill.

every word I wrote, I wrote in her name,
every time I looked at her, words just came,
my dreams were of all the things we would do,
every dream I had, that dream would come true.

love is an ocean, but it can run dry,
all the stars are dead in my pitch dark sky,
do not take love for granted as I did,
there were cobwebs within that she had hid.

nothing can turn clock of love to ticking,
no such magic wand to mend the wrecking,
love is harvest flourishes when tended,
show you care, see her every tear mended.

For happy couple who have lived in bliss for many years,
You have the skill, that is not as easy as it appears.
