Not a Word
In the hot sultry summer sun
along the white sandy beach
she sat with pen in hand
as her toes wriggled in the sand
Touching her red ruby cheeks
kissed by the warm glowing sun
a day for dreaming dreams
of islands in the streams
As the afternoon slowly drifts away
and the clouds come out to play
not a word was written that day
not one sentence to display.
