Not a Fairytale

Time runs like Cinderella,
Pursue things like it’s your last.
Happily ever after is too rare!
Unless you try things hard with aim!
An apple can’t let you sleep forever,
Things are cruel and learn to get over.
There are no princes who would help,
Save yourself in a reality!
Open your eyes like a Beast,
Stop to snore like Beauty in your sheet.
Life is not a magic carpet ride,
It gives you ups and downs,
 Like a roller coaster ride.
We can’t use a wand to change things.
It’s us who make our well fate.
Life is not a tale.
It’s truthful pain, joy
And a game.

Deeply introspective write, Lei. For one so young, you have a firm grasp of the real things that matter. Have a good life, kabayan. Hugs! :) Kim
