Nocturnal Tragedy
For as long as I remember,
I have struggled to sleep,
Vacant in my slumber,
But forever dreaming.
Days became long,
Nights were too short,
Patience now destroyed,
My mind became taut.
Sheltering my eyes,
With both of my hands,
Searching for answers,
Lost emotions ran.
Like ink they fell,
Tears onto the paper,
Capturing each thought,
Of my own caper.
Unwilling to speak,
Verse became my voice,
I am completely lost,
Without any choice.
Flick through the leaves,
Reflecting my past,
Be rest assured,
It was quite a blast.
