Nocturnal Embrace

I lay here, listening to your breathing,
slowed by your slumber, our pillow is one,
your love transmitted through
the warmth against my torso,
my arms wrapped around you
fingers laced together, difficult to tell them apart.
Your body sheltered by my own.
This is our nocturnal embrace.
