Nobody, Nowhere With No-One

NOBODY, NOWHERE WITH NO-ONE

So now they just reject me
After 18 years,
Stripped of everything it seems
And laughing at my tears.

No more the Hero
No more the Star
And as for a Princess
I’ve travelled too far.

I am the same person
My heart has stayed true
But that does not matter
Not even to you

I really wish that I could be
Everything they want
A diamond encrusted skull
Not just a worthless punt

In a way I’m glad I’m old
For it is plain to see
The world has lost a great gift
By them abusing me.

The less time I live with it
The shorter be the pain
A life so sadly frozen
Because they played a game

So please beware imposters
For it is plain to see
That others will profit now
Because I was just me.
