Notes About The Poem

Nobody Else

WHEN YOU KNOW...YOU KNOW! AMEN, PRESSING-ON

I’m a woman, and for all that it’s worth…

it suffices to admit, having walked much carnal turf

At one time, I fed my self-esteem…on my back

the happiness in my life…gleamed…in the sack

Then one day I met this Marvelous Friend

who wanted…nothing…but to…Love me…’til the end

So, what do you do …or say…to someone who’s never left…

who’s been faithful…despite your failures and bereft?

~~~~~~
Nobody else …has ever valued me like You do…
is there any wonder…why I trust…to surrender myself?
Nobody else…has ever covered me like You …
You protect 24/7…taking all …of what I’m dealt
Nobody else…but You, has ever shed their blood for me…
the only cleanser strong enough…to wash away my filth
I promise…to Love You and…never…turn around
I promise…to walk on Your directed ground
I promise…to be Your pen…whether I’m up or down
I promise…whatever You allow life to bring…
my praises, worship and adoration…will not cease to ring
I promise…my heart, mind, body and soul…will sing…
to Your Magnificent Glory…My Ever-Reigning King!
Because, there’s…
                 Nobody… Nobody Else…
                        …who has ever Loved me…Like You!
Lovely pen again Joyce, also love the scriptures you noted at the end. This is a wonderful praise devotional piece to our great God and king. Have a blessed day, regards from Scotland, Gordon
