Nobody Came

Listen to poem:
The mist ooozed the echo to one way. It was so dark and dank my breath stank, impaled by will–o'–the–wisp mirage, flickering candle-like, remote. Ghosts-like swirls arose through the mist, but nobody came. Silence pierced and popped up, but nobody came. Storm abated, flood flee flouted, but nobody came. I lay damp and dying, crying for having lied about where I was going — fault and blame, and never knowing lay beside me, nobody came.
