No Worries You Can Make a Crown

Childlike wonder loves stars, tulips, bumblebees, the beauty of snakes.
Childlike wonder revers truth, peace, God, and faeries’ lightness.
Shh! Soften your heart and remember the days of sheer humbleness
Before you knew so much, before education and books took you.

Remember being a pirate queen? A knight of the round table?
Jumping off railings slashing enemies with your imaginary sword?
Where is the crown made with aluminum foil and your sheriff badge?
Go get them and put them on. Immediately. Right this minute.

No worries. You can make a new crown. And bring the finger paints.
Remember when you were an artist? When you loved your drawings?
How happy you were drawing cartoons before the critics ruined you?
Humility is your best friend now. It is time to let your imagination play.

Remember land of childlike wonder when your Daddy was the hero?
Mommy was the fairest Queen? You were Snow White and Cinderella.
Wonder is waiting; you owe it to yourself to regain your momentum.
So put on that feathered boa and dance my darling!
I am sure you remember how!
