No Wonderland Winter

(just felt like doing it "blues" style!)

Snowflakes/Snow Snow Snow

falling on my “pane”
first snowflakes of the season. . .
and more on the way

Snowball

a tiny snowball
once it gets started rolling. . .
it’s all-consuming

Jack Frost

near frosty windows
beaming carolers smiling. . .
but they don’t know jack

Snow Angel

lying in cold snow
arms out, moving up and down. . .
signaling angels

I like how you almost seperated winter into four seasons itself. It nicely explains a winter that alot of people don't get when living in a place with no snow. You don't fantasize it yet you can take something good out of the way you word it. Congratuations on getting the first place position. It's well deserved.

You must have posted this gem while I was immersed in football, Andrea. So glad I saw it now. All of the poems are great and I love best the one about the carolers who "don't know Jack." Very witty play on words. Love, Carolyn

Congrats Andrea, a well deserved win. Wanted to enter my two poems on snow but couldn't figure out how to do so, but now I know I could have done it this way. Blessings, Joy (Jew)
