No turning back

I lay here beside you
listening to the pattern of your breathing
wanting to become one with it
wanting to drown myself in each beat
erasing my unhappiness
I breathe deeply
trying to stifle my tears
as wetness softly hits your chest
you always wanted more
why couldn't you be happy with us
with moments like this

A good capture of passing romantic love, Karen. Short and expressive. Catchy title. Well done in Brian’s Contest. Sending Light your way., Ghairo.

It's sad when one person in the relationship is happy and the other is not.
