No Tomorrow

It's another day for us
But not him
Someone stopped his right to live
Leaving his children fatherless
He's gone
I didn't get to say goodbye
No sorry
No forgive me
Only silence now
He asked me to help him
I said tomorrow
I never had the time
Now I wish I had took the time
I was making plans for tomorrow not knowing I only had a few hours left with him
I never got to say thanks and I will never get to say thanks again
Father why I don't understand
Father he's a good man...why lord
Why
Why would you take his life ...why
I know I shouldn't question your wisdom
We are not promised tomorrow
We only have now.
