No Time To Even Say Goodbye

A lonely place
A deep black hole
A bottomless chasm ~ I fall
There is no air
I cannot breathe

My heart
My soul
In deep despair

My deepest thoughts
I cannot share
I isolate inside
A place to cry
A place to hide
I wear a mask
In case I’m asked
‘Are you okay’
‘Yes fine’ I say

My heart 
My soul
In deep despair

All alone inside my grief
I cannot burden others
They shalt not know just how it feels
I pray they never will
Each day I try to carry on
But it’s so hard 
Now you have gone

My heart 
My soul
In deep despair…

A sunny day 
A Friday
Your soul soared high
I felt it pass
So sudden ~ So fast 
‘Why’ I asked 
~ No time to even say goodbye ~

I for one am glad you are able to share by writing to lessen some of the ache of loneliness. That's what friends are for.
