No Tick Nor Tock

Watching silent hands
Changing time in the darkness
No tick nor tock just number changes
Illumining the shadows

A small window of time
My eyes become heavy and weary
I nod off for what feels a life time
And the clock says NO

Day light creeps upon the darkness
Birds start the morning ritual
Night into day
Where did the hours go

Watching silent hands
No tick nor tock
A new day has begun
I guess I better get on

Enjoyed this read, where do the hours go? I have often wondered if the body dies for a time while the spirit explores its own world. Excellent piece.
