No Soul
I don't want to give you my soul.
What more will I have left?
I know you loved me with all your heart,
But you gave me empty promises.
I gave you money, but I did not love you back.
You gave me your tenderness, and I returned humor.
You gave me your sadness, and I gave you anger.
I was not in love with you, and you still came knocking.
I am not the girl for you.
You have probably heard this a thousand times, but it was me, and not you.
This might be the last time you will ever see me again.
So I will cherish the moment, and I will always remember it,
Because you were my first puppy love.
