No Sorrow

stands behind the drapes
a shadow
still for a moment
then bourbon in tupperware
burned her throat
television
in the other room
children slap fighting
yelling beings
another swallow
behind the drapes the world was simple
cream and grey
almost twilight outside
cool window on her cheek
tears
but no
sorrow
