No Rules In Dreams

No control in slumber Smiling with a frown Frowning with a smile Upside down and backwards Running red changing lights Shades of green stops No rhyme or reason Doing as you wish Wishing you had done Opposite of blue yesterday Controlling things that end Living in sleepy cocoon Wrapped up in nothing Still you belong there Visions of sweetness wanted Yet leaving you everytime Caressed by unknown love Becoming what you desire Will she return again Does it really matter Can't hold her anyway Lovely dream turned nightmare Giving less than cruelty Despised by me again Then falling without body Frightened but no pain More hurt when eyes open Awakened to living reality Copyright © 2014 Robert William Gruhn - All Rights Reserved "A poem to me is the essence of any thought, Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky. And some dreams are those we never wish to awaken from........some nightmares occur while wide awake, and those are the most painful kind. A unique poem and interesting truths. Well said!
