No Right

There’s not a lot that I can say
I feel Your Presence every day
Sometimes I lie awake at night
I worry but I have no right
I complain when things go wrong
I forget others whose woes are strong
You heal the blind and give them sight
For me to complain, I have no right
Sometimes my faith is put to the test
I stop to think how I was blessed
In my darkness You sent me light
To ask for more, I have no right
You walked on the Sea of Galilee
On the Cross You died for me
Oh Lord please help me win this fight
To give up now, I have no right
So many times I did not heed
You were with me in my hour of need
I have felt Your Love and feared Your Might
To see these miracles I have no right.

How unworthy we feel in His presence... His is the only Perfection... we straggle along so far behind. An exceptional piece my friend! God bless, Keith

Love it. Great work. Funny you used the words, "nostalgia freak" to describe yourself. I always describe myself as being in a "constant state of nostalgia"

You have as much right as He did, oh brother mine. You're looking at a miracle every time you look in the mirror, my friend. Love does not ask for rights ... it just gives and thank you for all the laughter you've given me here at the Soup!!

I think most of us have felt this way and can relate very well. Sounds like many prayers I have said myself, although not so eloquently as you have penned here. Hope you are not going through any seriously difficult times, and if you are, may all your prayers be answered. Love, shar

You have spoken here, what I've often thought to myself in the middle of the night. Times when I've said "Please, God..help me through this"....but then, I must think how in so many ways I've already been so blessed...and then know I have no right to ask for more. You said it so well! .. Blessings, Carrie

aww this is beautiful written, we are all truly blessed by His Gift of love and eternal life, this poem is so powerful, But in his eyes you have every right through the blood of Jesus, you have rights because you believe, you are a son of God and an air to the throne, you are loved just the way you are, none of us have no right but because of Jesus we have everything, thanks for your feed back on my poem a breath of fresh air, God bless you.
