No Place Like Home

A doorway on a side
Four corners in a room
Maybe there's no windows
Maybe there a two

Below your feet the floor
Above your head's a ceiling
On all sides at walls
Bended knee your kneeling

A yard outside your house
A roof above your home
Invite your guests on in
So you are not alone

Your safe place in the world
When danger it surrounds
Protected by a structure
To keep you safe and sound

A place to be yourself
A space to call your own
Take pride in what you have
There is no place like home
