No Peeking

Come my love
Take my hand
Close your eyes
I'll help you stand
Now don't you look
I know it's hard
But try your best
In that regard
You may just feel
Upon your cheek
A little kiss
But still don't peek
And if you feel
Behind your neck
Something soft
It's just a peck
The moon is out
It has a pull
Draws me to you
You're beautiful
I won't resist
I won't say no
Wait what's that?
I think it's snow

I like the sweetness of this poem, the gentle invitation and the play on 'kiss' with the snow. The form is beautiful, with the short lines, and alternate rhyme that never jars, just falls like the snow. I love this poem. I can imagine that it was written for a particular person who is precious to you. That is what makes sing :)
