No Pain,No Poetry

From the desktop of my life , I deleted Pain, so that nobody could restore it again. From the canvas of my life, I wiped away Sorrow, so that I could get a joyful tomorrow. From the diary of my life, I erased all my Grief and sent them on a long leave. Seeing this,Poetry asked, "Why should I stay with you then?" So I restored Pain, painted Sorrow and scribbled Grief in my life again. ========================

I like the message of this poem, Kashinath. For me, it seems like it's easier to write when I'm in that dark place and filled with emotion. My best work comes from a place of saddness. However, writting is like an eraser that helps dull the pain. It's my thearapy. Without pain, poetry would have no emotion and less meaning. It was easy for me to relate to this piece. I like it. ~JS Lambert

Kash, about Oldest Crime. It really happened almost like I wrote. I based my poem loosely on the story of a young man in Idaho who was murdered for being gay. They lured him to a deserted spot and beat him and then posted his body on a barbed wire fence. In my story I changed some details.

Poetry and pain go hand in hand......! It is said that our sweetest songs are those which tell us saddest thoughts.....! I got the same massage here! Well written one. I liked to read it.
