No Other Place

No other place I would rather be,
For no sweeter scent can fill my head.
My arm has found its place for life,
Wrapped around you, here in bed.

Soft curves of your being welcome touch
As my hands wander so softly around
Listen not, to the world outside the window,
But to my heart, for you, it sounds.

My mind would jump so quickly ahead,
But here, right now, I’ve slowed it down.
I’m enjoying our time, as time should be
As we both leave the solid ground.

No other place I would rather be,
The world outside will remain out there
I’m here with you, in mind and body,
Two souls together, without a care.
