No Ordinary Teatime
They held teas in their apartment;
not just quiet little affairs;
they were more like drunken ones.
Shouting and booming laughter echoed,
through the hallways of the building;
causing apartments, with sleeping babies;
to erupt with screams and incessant crying.
The cacophony could be heard,
Echoing throughout the adjacent buildings.
One day, the police arrived
And ears with listening glasses,
in every apartment,
were glued to the walls,
Apparently, those were no ordinary tea parties!
