No Need To Despair

The kids came out on every block and in the streets they began to flock
They were in a state of panic, a state of shock
As they faced their darkest fear
There would be no presents this year!

The news spread quickly to the North Pole
There would be no deliveries to a single soul
Covid had shut all operations down
And poor old St Nick broke down

But the the elves were up to the task
They worked through the night to make masks
Masks were given to all the reindeer
Even Rudolph, whose mask had a hole in there
So his nose would glow, no need to despair

With a bottle of sanitizer in his sleigh
Santa Claus was on his way!

Your poem is cute and a delight to read, Joseph. Thank goodness the elves were able to make the masks. I wonder if the hole in Rudolph's mask made him more exposed to the virus. Nice work! Congratulations on your win and have a very Merry Christmas! Best wishes, Carolyn
