No Need For a Crown

Gray storm clouds circle around
As I can hear a distant rumble
A breeze picks up, the leaves tumble
Thunder speaks with a low drum sound

Rain reaches the hill here and there
Refreshing my troubled heart
So many things, no-where to start
But, there is resolution somewhere

I speak to the storm, thunder I join
Things that I know will be heard
Or some will pass off as absurd
It’s really like the toss of a coin

The day’s hot air suddenly cools down
Green leaves flutter in the air
The Humming Birds feeding, do not care
So happy, free, sweet sugar - no need for a crown

Thank you Michael. Rough times lately. I may write a poem about my vaxxed Veteran friend who first had confirmed adverse effect from vax. Then got very aggressive neck cancer. Just had 5 hour complex surgery and now got covid in the hospital. I am angry at the genocide. I know you understand. And just recently...another vaxxed friend had same eye issue from vax ..then clotting and died.

I hear the thunder and see the images of a day perturbed in bad weather. Glad it finally settled into its norm. Enjoy your evening, Heidi.
