No More
No More
She sat stunned, wounded and exhausted
Looking ahead, she saw without seeing
No more, no more, she cried
The darts had been swift, their accuracy
Sure, this must be the end
No more, no more, she cried
He had attacked and left, convinced
Of his justification…how could he do this?
No more, no more, she cried
Suddenly a light filled the room
Before her was a man with love in His eyes
He listened as she cried, “No more”
His nail-scarred hand took hers in His
Love flowed over her as chains began to fall
He then gently asked her if that was enough
She looked up, eyes filled with joy
No, more…no, more, she gently cried
