Oh yeah! It's time to make gifts! Copy family photos... give scrapbooks, albums, or just a box of old photos. Memories are the best gift! Merry Christmas...soon.

Many people are in this position Doris, and more and more each year. I love Christmas, but sheer commercialism is taking away the charm. In the stores here, the Christmas goods etc are on the shelves in September, that just ain't right >> James :)

You made me smiling with these poems, Doris! Still so much time left before Christmas but the shops are filled with Christmas items since September here, isn't that crazy? I enjoyed reading your Senryus this late afternoon! And to answer your question, Yes, there was already some snow in higher areas, but extremely early for this time of the year!...All the best!...Gert

yes the monotony is probably the worst,of it. i have just checked, your answer to verbiage, and thank you for looking in, when i wrote the poem i did think about using a diffrent word at the end, and after thinkink of its literal meaning, i mean like the 7 plauges in that sense i put it in if it causes offence it can be removed.

You have me smiling, Doris, as most of us cn relate to this feeling. I have lots of Christmas fabric and sew gifts instead of buying them: aprons, fabric wreaths, stockings, table runners, etc. You could even arrange pine cones with some cheap lights in a wicker basket and let someone know you care. That's all that's really important, right? I do love your poem because the shopping frenzy is unavoidable for most people. Nice work! Love, Carolyn
