No Mommy

Sleep tight,
Without fear,
There are no monsters,
Under here.
No, mommy,
They fill my head,
When darkness comes,
And I'm in my bed.
Oh, child,
How sweet you are, T
hat imagination,
Will take you far.
No, mommy,
My dreams are true, I
f only,
You had a clue.
Darling boy,
I see it all,
Now go to sleep,
I'll be down the hall.
No, mommy,
Why can't you see?
In the end,
You'll kill me.
In a week,
You'll be mad,
And tell me,
That I've been bad.
You'll take a knife,
Slit my throat,
But in my dreams,
I'll escape by boat.
Oh, silly boy,
The things you think,
You can't escape,
That boat will sink.
