No Man
He picked her up at quarter to seven,
And won't bring her back until after eleven.
But he was no man
When he drank out of a can.
It was such a lovely date.
After he even walked her up to the gate.
But he was no man
Because he had no good plan.
He took her to dinner.
She thought she was a winner.
But he was no man.
He threw her feelings in a fan.
The movies they would go,
And she thought he wasn't a foe.
But he was no man
When he drank out of a can.
One day she said she went to "the mall,"
Came home with a bruise, and said she took "a great fall."
But he was no man
Even after she ran.
