No Love For Me

I'm sorry I took your hand 
when I never intended for 
you to take mine.
I'm sorry I made so many
promises that somehow 
turned into lies.

I'm sorry that I've neglected
to see you for who you truly are; 
Let's face it I've done a great 
job at keeping us apart.

I'm sorry for putting you down 
instead of exalting you high
I know I am the cause of
Every tear you've cried. 

I'm sorry you begged only for me
to love you but that was never an 
intention of mine and to be terribly 
honest that was always just the farthest
thing from my mind.

i thoght a rose every now and then would satisfy my wife. and even cards. to say the least treating her daughter like she was my own. one time she shown she appriciated that; while she was in the process of leaving me.it's a two way street it seems.we both got hooked up with dead beats.

I wish I could have predicted how bad things would get and how the only hope I feel I have the only escape is ink and paper for our children we endure whatever our love for the surpasses our own needs and wants sorry for what you had to go through just never give up John I promise you something better will arrive someday ~Maddie

I have no idea why a man would marry a woman he doesn't love but a good woman should be honored not cast aside an neglected like an old shoe, some of us unfortunately know this story by heart because they like it thank you for reading my poetry ~maddie
