NO LONGER ARE THEY SEEN

When'er I do sit to write 
always a dictionary in sight to look up words like columbarium
So what does this word mean ?
There are spaces in walls for crypts storing ashes 
of those no longer to be seen

For persons such as me with no religious indoctrination
I'm still uncertain
is burial the way to go
or cremation does it fit
I really still don't know

So how did I come
to look up the word columbarium 
I was conversing with my sister
about the ashes in the urns of our dad and mum

Our father passed away 
in zero twenty three
in the year of twenty ten
it was our mother, she did follow he
And since both of those dates, my sister,
still stores their ashes in her home
Included four loved family dogs
no longer will they roam

So all ot those urns 
add up to a total of seven
Their souls all now 
floating round in heaven

And then she rang me to say guess what ?
I forgot to tell you, there's another urn to add to the score
A request upon her will no cremation.  Oops too late
for the final wishes of her sis' in law

And just the other day another family member
took the option , no service just cremation
The ashes in my sisters home, soon to be spread around a favourite tree
Ultimately we are all headed for the same divine destination

So the question I posed to my sister
do you have a name for your house
She uttered nay, perhaps Columbarium 
is an option I did espouse
