Michael Reaves Poet Free verse

No Hope

It’s sad to look at this world today
And to realize there’s no hope for peace anymore
Because of everything that takes place in it everyday!!! 

From all that’s happened since the events of September 11, 2001
To all of the senseless killings that happen each day 
It’s got to stop if we want this world to continue. 

If we want to be able to find peace
Well then it’s got to start with each one of us
And it depends on how we get along with each other. 

Now it shouldn’t make a difference
In what color we are or our background
As long as we can stand together and want to find peace. 

The only way that we could find peace
Would be if we could turn back to the Bible
And begin to follow some of the teachings in it.
