No goodbye's and gone

Your divorcing words rip at me.

Like a callous young boy
who tears the wings off
of a butterfly,
then throw
Its butchered body
into the air
and yells "fly".

Although I still my my limbs
my days and nights
are no longer beautiful.

My goodness! Its hardly Wordsworth or Shelley...but its damned effective. You have certainly made a point with this hard-hitting verse, Brian. No punches pulled here that is for sure. :) john

Thank you for your comments, they are appreciated. I know that it is not Wordsworth or shelly, but perhaps a bukowski?
