No Giving Up

I’ve come too far to give up now, I am far too reckless
To care what you think, I’m doing this for me,
You can’t control me; I’m far too aggressive,
The bridges that I’ve built, I’m letting go all you’ve given me,
Your mind control has left me in pieces.

I’m telling you I’m no longer your slave,
I’m alone inside my world now,
With no out stretched procedures,
That cuts away my hope,
And leaves me weary,
I just hope when I wake from this dream,
Your gaze won’t penetrate my heart,
And leave me open for another.

mind control, never a good thing...something within this connects with me, the last three lines are particularly strong :) charlotte
