No Faithful Finish Line -Warm Bodies Inspired 1st

Death ate my life but can't digest my soul
My existence is in a constant state
In a marathon with primeval goal
No faithful finish line to me awaits.

I'm a work of art- debris of old life
Past is fog; present is never ending
Future is surrendering desired hype
A tasteless joke of not knowing a thing.

Pieces that made who I was were shattered
Like awesome dream of someone wide awake
Finding although I don't seek I'm battered
With angst of wanting feelings I can't make.

Give me a name, name my identity
I'm way too tired of immortality.
