Notes About The Poem

No Blind Eye

Don't turn a blind eye to evil
nor pretend life is only good
Don't turn a blind eye to evil
but don't engage in its company.
Do rejoice in the goodness around
plenty of shines her light bright
Do rejoice in the goodness around
but existing shadows always play.
Not enough to simply praise the good
must call out the evil too
not enough to simply praise the good.
Stand strong, and firm in the light
because evil has a mask in pretentious bright.

I agree with your message Miranda.. so true, but evil has a way of manipulating souls... Your poem flows very well..

Miranda, your poem is truly exceptional. It carries a profound message that resonates deeply and is beautifully conveyed through your words. The idea of loving our enemies while deliberately avoiding their presence is an intriguing concept. Blessings

A great poem Miranda with a powerful message. Love the lines, ‘Do rejoice in the goodness around’ ‘ Stand strong and firm in the light’. Well written and I love that eye catching picture as well with the amazing colours that go well with the poem. Really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you :)

So well expressed. Love your enemies but evade their company. Remember the story of the rotten apple. Blessings.
