No Better Time than the Fourth of July

Where are the rugged individualists of yesteryear
the men with faces carved from rock
and skin as tight as leather

                  To confront the neighborhood bullies
to tell ‘em where they can take their act
and the dangerous explosives they set off

To take back America’s mean streets
~ to replace them with safe, free streets
