They might have to play all summer to empty stadiums - there is a sorrowful metaphor in there somewhere -

Imagine life without baseball and beers, hot-dogs and cheers... we'd be fighting over anything...and we are...the economics are bad...

I care, my friend. During WW2, President Roosevelt deliberately kept the major leagues going to raise morale by providing a healthy diversion from the suffering and deprivation caused by the war.

Well, well, well. Still a baseball fan! -- Myself, I loved the game until the steroid debacle erupted. Since then, lukewarm like at best. Hope something happens, for the sake of the economy if nothing else. Thanks, John
