No Ado, No Fanfare

I dreamt about a wedding
The couple wearing jeans,
Cowboy boots and flannel shirts
In a meadow near a stream
Two onyx rings presented
Everything so right
Americana music
Played into the night

With moon and stars as witness
He took his country bride
And placed his lips on top of hers
His love no more to hide
Then when the fête was over
Just her and him were there
Alone, these two together
With no ado and no fanfare
