Nineteen Never

you
that glowing moonshine
parallel to your reflection
cheerless
but
antic
whispering : unofficially nineteen never
we chase perceptively astounding normalcy

A wonderfully enigmatic miniature, alive with magnetic-poetry surprise and youthful, moonlit feeling. The fragmented syntax and unexpected turns—“cheerless / but / antic”—give it an impulsive, nineteen-forever energy, while “perceptively astounding normalcy” lands as a beautifully off-kilter expression of love and longing.
