Nine Years Without Our Shepherd

First year came as a rude shock And the second still was like a dream Third was a reality The gone is gone for good My beloved father a good shepherd has left Leaving it all for mom and God The burdened but tireless woman Death struck like the lightening in the storm Deafening thunders that made us shiver Our beloved father is gone The treasured and priceless jewel is lost This we thought could scatter the herds Like a flock without the herder We kept counting every year From one and today makes it nine On a shining sun or cloudy day Be it night of full moon or no moon We feel your love and guide hovering over You never left us alone to fear Even when you're not here in flesh We live in love and harmony you taught us Your words of wisdom we never forgot in our blue days We loved you and never stopped loving you If we have our way, we would want a visit But we know you watch us each day that breaks We have grown and growing in oneness Togetherness is our watchword Mom has built on your legendary legacy The children soaring higher in altitude and attitudes It is another year to remember you daddy It is one year short of a decade We are sure of our reunion Though not in a hurry to cross the boundary But we await our day of beautiful reunion When we shall live to leave no more Where and when death is Conquered And life is eternal without sunrise Rest on papa Our happiness is in our togetherness A formidable love and strength that keep us thriving We miss you at every sunset Please pray for us at every sunrise. We love you and you'll live in our hearts forever
