NINE LIVES

Desperation
Green eyes Cat
Beaten and hurt
On the street to die
Thirsty and Hungry
Pain throughout, and couldn’t eat
People passed by and showed no concern
A stranger saw pity and compassion
Immediately took the female Cat to the Animal Hospital
Emergency in the eyes of the female stranger
The Vet saw the Cat and took the stranger, the Cat was at near death
The stranger refused to accept, and told the Vet, there is hope, and I know deep in my heart that something can be done for this cat in its suffering
The Vet offered surgery, but stated it will be costly
No guarantees of course
Whatever the surgery cost, female stranger stated she will pay
The Cat must live and have life
Fast forward
The female Cat’s progress began to show promise
The cat started eating and drinking milk
It put its two paws into the hands of the stranger who saved her as if to say, “THANK YOU”
It was the stranger’s care of understanding
Courageous cat wanting to live
Combined love breathed new life into the cat
What started out as a sad beginning, but became a happy end with a stranger’s empathy being the center
The stranger now owns the cat and welcomes into the home of yours, mine and ours
The bond of everlasting in ever after
Love conquers all and heals.
