Nightmares To Dreams

When the day is running out of its breath,
I, myself, live in shades of gray and black
And welcome the nightmares waiting in bed
Beautiful ghosts and pictures of Lilac

Come here, you call, I remember your voice
The soft calling, the visions of color
I heard once before in my days of joy
You held me close and you made me calmer

So, my love, I awoke from my nightmare
No longer wrapped in its cold agony
Although you remained mostly unaware
Now it’s our love that’s in its infancy.

The nights are now gone with the black and gray,
Bright beautiful colors stream through the shades.
