Nightmares

Nightmares; I am locked in this shell of fear
Every word I hear makes me groan in pain
Insidious peers mocking my brokenness;
Leaving me helpless, concealing my tears
Rage comes like a fire that burns inside me
End this suffering I ask, oh God, hear!
You only have the might to make or break
A frail man like me that’s crippled in pain
Listen then, I have never asked in vain;
Faith! Give it back to me, come walk with me
On this steep road where darkness looms I wait
Refresh my mind of the ones I have loved;
Quash my fears, let my rage subside, I beg!
Untie my chains; please let me be free to
Escape these nightmares, allow me in peace.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
