Nightmares
Close your eyes and drift away
Repressed memories come out to play.
Visions of her sitting there
Rocking back and forth shedding tears of pain
With rage and anger just fighting to come out
Nothing can stop her now
The knife she holds as blood pours down
Is just the start to the devils game of hell.
Pills work to numb the soul
Razor blades help to release the hurt
A broken hand caps it off.
Showing her it is over for now,
until the next game is dealt.
When dreams run wild and free these are the visions that she sees.
Close your eyes and drift away
See things in a different way
Protecting her heart and holding her hand
Reminding her it’s only a nightmare.
When the morning sun arises she will see
That god has given her a new destiny
