Nightmare Road

I’ll drag you if I have to, but let me try. To place you upon my back, please don’t cry. We’ll find our way just as soon as our eyes adjust. Not sure where we are, but to get somewhere a must. No matter what happens we are together as one. Our bonded love a winner, darkness we shall shun. Dark surrounds our bodies, spirits wrapped in love. Eyes now attracted to the heavens and stars above. Lights of the heavens shower down ever so slight. But allows us to travel slowly, in shadowy dim light, We find a path, we know not where or how far it goes. With no other choice we follow as moonlight glows. Darkness is on all sides, but twinkles guide our way. Until upon end of the path, we see a small chalet. No sign of life except for ourselves as we get close. Then a flash of light bounces over, ever so grandiose. Suddenly, we find each other back in our warm abode.
