Nightmare 2

He parks up the street
Then shuts his lights off
Keeps the engine running
Only one thing on his thoughts

He sits silently still
With engine idled and running
He has come up with a plan
He hopes it is cunning

Waits a few moments more
To keep his motor warm
Trying to remember of
He brought the chloroform

There are two weapons
In his passengers seat
Loaded 44 magnum
A hunting knife in a sheath

Go in make some noise
Or go in silent take it slow
He reaches for the knife
This method he'll go

He stares at the house
At the end on the left
It's the moment of truth
He inhales deep takes a breath

Pop the switch to the trunk
Few more things to retrieve
One more time he goes over
The plan he's had now for weeks

He takes both of his hands
Off the steering wheel
Steps out of the car
On the dark street of Gold Reel

He grabs rope and duct tape
He'll go through with his scheme
The time is now here
He must be smart and be clean

He advances toward the house
The couple asleep that he hopes
He stares at the home
His thrill starts to grow

The voices take over
Telling him there's no turning back
Grabs hold of the door knob
Turns it then hears it unlatch

He opens it slowly
Steps across the threshold
Closes the door behind him
Then his control he let's go

A cold sweat he's now in
But this time he's aware
This must be the beginning
To his original nightmare
