Nightmare
You scar my day
and haunt my night
When my body rests
and the mind takes flight.
In every dream
I see your face
You make the rest of
the world seem common place.
The dream becomes a
nightmare when you leave
I am left in the darkness
and I can not conceive
Why you have left
and where you have gone
It seems when you were
here the light always shone.
Now left in the darkness
I can only wonder
When I shall awake
from my endless slumber.
So for now I wait
until the light shines through
Or until you return
and do those things you do
That make me laugh
and make me smile
But until then I shall
remain in darkness for the while.
