I can only imagine what it must have
been like for the disciples when their
Master died on the cross.  He had
told them a number of times that this
was going to happen, but, it went over
their head.  He has done that with us to,
I would imagine and when the episode
happens that He told us about, then it
awns on us what He was trying to prepare
us for. What a Wonderful God He truly is!

Night Turns to Day

It was a cold and rainy night
for the disciples of the Christ
as the One they loved so dear was going away
but, presently they were asleep and He was left alone there to pray

They must have thought to themselves
how can this be? We walked with Him day and night
why did it happen this way Lord please tell
come and deliver us from this dreadful fright

Then they saw that the streets of Jerusalem was all filled with chatter
while tears were running down their face
but others were filled with cursing sneered and laughed at them
after killing their precious Lord of Grace

Then just the long three days later
like He said this mighty Christ arose
He turned for them their darkness into light
and commissioning them He returned to His Heavenly home.
